Came to Tratto to celebrate my girlfriend and I's anniversary! Aidan was a fantastic server and took great care of us, he led us through the menu and gave us his favorites. To drink I suggest the New York sour it was fantastic! We'll be back to visit Aidan soon!

Tratto is my all-time favorite restaurant in Phoenix. For the couple of hours we spend there, I feel like I've been whisked away to a trattoria near the river in Florence. From the delicious amuse bouche that is served while we made our important dinner decisions, to the contratto spritz (I'm hookied!!) and our meal, every moment is perfect. We truly savored every bite, and conversation revolve around the delicious food. Friendly, helpful staff -- all that's missing is a Mama sitting against the wall, watching-- and the chance to share a small glass of limoncello with her. Instead, we had to make do with the stupendous spumoni. I LOVE the olive oil (grassy and intense) and was super happy to be able to buy a couple bottles to take home. One hundred stars! Thank you!

The downside: central Phoenix isn't necessarily the safest area... The upside: Tratto is a hidden gem nestled in downtown-ish Phoenix. The food is stellar! The bread appetizer is INSANEly good, so I ordered a 2nd. The salad with the pomegranates was great, so I also ordered a 2nd. The chicken was spectacular. The salmon dish was another pleaser. Carrots and potatoes side dishes were yummy! My only advice: make the trip to Tratto!

I could look up all the items that I ordered, but, writing this review a couple months after going, I cannot remember it all. But one thing stood out. This crepe-like thing that was savory. I just remember whatever was brought to my table, I enjoyed. It is true what they say. You don't remember all the details, but you remember what you feel. The waitress was super nice and conversational. I will be back. The next time to update with more details.
